Disability Law Queensland has contributed to the Royal Commission on issues that are effecting people with disabilities and their families. 

The Disability Royal Commission was established in April 2019 in response to community concern about widespread reports of violence against, and the neglect, abuse and exploitation of, people with disability.

    Disability Law Queensland has long been a champion of Human Rights in Queensland, with Disability Law Queensland Founding Director, Aimee McVeigh spearheading the successful campaign to establish a Human Rights Act for Queensland in 2019.
